"Letter From Camp"
By Camp Odyssey @ Salisbury School

Dear Mom and Dad,

Thanks for sending me to camp. Wow!! The counselors were so friendly they made me feel special from the moment I entered camp. The camp director always wore a crazy tie and hat and greeted me each day as I came into camp. After the ?rst couple of days he knew my name – and he always wanted to know if I was having a good day. And I was!

The counselors made sure all the activities were fun and safe. I had so many choices! Fun stuff like art, video, wacky science, dance, sports and computers. Each one had a specialist who taught us cool things -- like how to play Alaskan Baseball and make slime.

Each day we had crazy time or a special activity. I loved Crazy Time, when we could choose between lots of games such as non-elimination dodge ball, silent speedball and even capture the ?ag. On Special Activity Days, I spent time at camp fairs, playing in the mud for Mud Madness and going around town doing kind acts for Make Our Community Better Day.
I love camp!! My counselors are like the coolest big brothers and sisters. They keep me straight (I follow the rules) but they are also fun! I want to be a counselor someday.

Camp makes me feel okay to be me….You play and learn new stuff and get to do stuff that would be too messy for our house.

Thanks a billion Mom and Dad, I hope I can go again next summer!

Love,
Sam
