"From Skin Care to Surgery The Choice is Yours "
By Robert J. Davis, M.D.

Several times a week someone will visit this office and say, “I need a facelift.” And several times a week we explain to this person why they may not need a facelift. What they do not realize is that there are numerous approaches to facial rejuvenation – facelift is only one. It is our job during the first consultation to help the patient identify and prioritize their true concerns about the appearance of their face. What bothers you most? Fine lines, sunspots, weathered pigmentation, rough texture or the need to wear cover- up makeup? Forty to fifty year olds rarely need a facelift. Thirty to fifty year olds often need good skin care program and skin rejuvenation. The choices or combination of choices are endless and should be customized to each individual person.

During our examination we identify your concerns and then show you what we see when we look at your face. Once we have compiled and prioritized the problem list we can offer a variety of solutions. The choice of solutions is then yours.

So, for the person who uses sunscreen most of the time during the summer, but never during the fall, winter or spring, and who has fine lines beside and beneath the eyes, who has a splattering of brown spots across the cheeks and nose, and who has deep furrows or worry lines between the eyebrows, we have choices and options for treatment. Those choices may include Silk Peel dermal infusion, deep peels and micro peels using a variety of solutions, bleaching agents, moisturizers, lasers that improve the contour of the skin by plumping up the collagen layer under the skin, lasers that zap sun spots and small facial veins in a flash, fat injections to smooth out facial creases, Botox, Retin A, herbal creams, etc. etc. ..... The list of treatment options is long and the combinations are endless – but the choice is yours.

Yes, we pride ourselves in the surgery that we are able to perform, but surprisingly, most people may not need surgery to revitalize the face. There are many options other than surgery to improve the appearance of the face – and the choice is yours! For more information, check out our website at www.delmarvadentalservices.com.

MAGGIE SAYS:
This letter from one recent patient shows why Maggie is so happy to recommend DRs. DAVIS AND MACPHEE. “Dear Dr. Davis and Dr. MacPhee, I wanted to thank you both for the time you took this week during my appointment. So often a patient can feel rushed, which I personally have experienced with other doctors. It’s a terrible feeling, as cosmetic surgery is a sensitive issue. Thank you again for taking the time to listen and understand.”
