Downtown Cruise In
By Chef Stewart Davis of FLANNERY’S

Do you love your car? Want to show it off? Are you looking for some great family time? Beginning June 12th through September, Thursday nights from six to nine p.m. will be Cruise In Night in Downtown Salisbury. Bring your classic or antique car, modified vehicle, Corvette, truck or jeep, and hang out on Thursday nights with your vehicle and others who appreciate your pride and joy. Or come just to look under the hoods, admire and enjoy. There are 300 parking spots in the vicinity of Flannery’s, at the intersection of Main Street and Route 13. Load up the family and cruise on in for a fun night with old friends, new friends, and plenty of good food! And be sure to watch for the date of the September car show when dash plaques and trophies will be awarded.

Flannery’s will be offering special Cruise In menus for Thursday nights. Relive the 50's and 60's with great burger specials, fries and gravy, cheese fries, and of course, all the menu items that have made Flannery’s so popular for the last ten years.

A Flannery’s Footnote: Are you wondering what Gumbo is? A traditional Cajun delight, Gumbo is a soup of chicken stock with green peppers, onions, celery, andouille sausage and okra. The okra essentially disappears, but imparts a wonderful flavor. The soup is thickened with a brown roux and seasoned with file´ powder made from ground sassafras root. A true New Orleans dish you can enjoy in Salisbury without having to travel!

MAGGIE SAYS:
A recent customer from Hunt Valley told us,”I went to school in New Orleans and I know gumbo. FLANNERY’S Gumbo YaYa is absolutely the best I have had outside of New Orleans.” A couple from New Jersey commented, “We stumbled upon FLANNERY’S when our daughter was attending S.U. and we eat there every time we visit. This time we came to Salisbury just to eat at FLANNERY’S; as usual, it was wonderful. I hope Salisbury knows how lucky they are to have such a fine, fun restaurant.”
