Don’t Miss the Autumn Wine Festival! If you're looking for something a little "different" to do this fall in Salisbury, be sure and mark your calendars for the first annual AUTUMN WINE FESTIVAL, November 1st & 2nd at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury. The event, hosted by the Wicomico County Convention & Visitor's Bureau, will showcase wines from nearly a dozen Maryland Wineries, as well as local cuisine, juried arts & fine crafts and non-stop live entertainment. .What makes the AUTUMN WINE FESTIVAL different from other events of its kind is that it will feature wines produced only at Maryland Wineries. It is one of only four such events across the state, sanctioned by the Association of Maryland Wineries. This promises to be more than just a run-of-the-mill festival with so much to offer area visitors! In addition to the opportunity to sample wines from some of the state's finest growers, visitors will be treated to some of the area's most delectable treats and handcrafted artworks by some of the region's most talented artisans. The entertainment line-up alone is reason to come out, featuring Randy Lee Ashcraft, Opposite Directions, Mike Elliott and the Subterraneans. Sunday's entertainment line-up will also include an appearance by the Salt Water Cowboys and special guest "Fingers Taylor", the harmonica player for Jimmy Buffet. Admission to the AUTUMN WINE FESTIVAL is just $18.00 and includes a commemorative wine glass and 10 (1 oz.) wine samples from the wineries of your choice. When you find a wine that you like, you may purchase a bottle direct from the growers. For those who choose not to sample wine, a designated driver program will be available, courtesy of Pepsi Cola Bottling of Delmarva. Officials say the two day festival is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors to the area. It's sure to become an annual favorite! Tickets are available at the Civic Center Box Office in Salisbury, online at www.autumnwinefestival.org, or charge by phone at (410) 548-4911. Hotel packages are available!
