Tales of Maggie’s Pohanka Prius:
“You get HOW many miles to the gallon?! No way!” We get that reaction nearly every time someone asks about our Pohanka Toyota Prius. We’ve been driving a Prius now for about a year and a half. Our car averages 52 miles per gallon of regular gasoline. No, that’s not a typo. 52 mpg.

Hybrid cars, powered by a combination of gas engine and electric motor, .rst came on the market in 1999, but there are still widespread misconceptions about them. For instance:

Do you have to plug it in every night?
No, in fact you never plug it in. The technology is so advanced that the car recharges itself while you’re driving.

How do you switch it back and forth from gas engine to electric?

Is Prius the only model with a hybrid engine?
Several manufacturers are now making hybrid vehicles and it is expected that in the future nearly all models will be available with a hybrid option. Among those currently on the market are Honda’s Civic and Insight, both available from Pohanka, as well as Toyota’s Prius. Motor Trend named Prius the Car of the Year for 2004.

Did I hear something about a tax break?
